The Maldives are hot and sunny all year round, with average temperatures of 23ºC-31ºC. The best weather – and the best time to visit the Maldives – is between November and April.

 

The high season falls between December and March. The monsoon runs from May to October, peaking around June. The northern atolls have highest rainfall May-Nov; the southern atolls from Nov-Mar.

 

It is worth paying the higher prices and sticking to the dry season – there's not much to do on rainy days except drink, work out or scuba dive. Then again, that doesn't sound so bad.
